Our renovation Story

Visiting Redruth in 2021 and working at Bill’s Attic, Felix and Josh went to see the old Library on Clinton Road with the view to finding a new space after leaving our previous premises in Tottenham.

Meeting with Tamsin from Cornwall Council and various others, it became clear that the library needed a long term custodian and a radical new purpose for the 21st Century.

Taking on the lease of the building we immediately went to work to fix holes in the roof, replace windows with the help of the High Street Heritage Action Zone and Historic England which led to funding from the Cornwall Devolution Deal to purchase the building and renovate it’s old college.
After kitting it out – a partnership with Naturally Learning – it is now filled with children. Working with Cornwall’s Shared Prosperity Fund we have now finished renovating the Old Library building with additional funds from the Architectural Heritage Fund, Heritage Fund and Community Ownership Fund we have replaced our roof and built a rehearsal space, community project space and co-working space.
