The Collector
Step inside The Collector, a brand-new immersive theatre experience by acclaimed Cornish playwright Carl Grose, inspired by the extraordinary imagination of the late Bill Mitchell, founder of Wildworks and one of Cornwall's most influential creative visionaries.
Cornish Theatre Symposium
Bill Mitchell changed how we understand where theatre can happen at all. From Wildworks' epic landscapes to Kneehigh's fire-lit gatherings, his work turned clifftops, quarries and beaches into stages, and left a generation of makers convinced that the wildest places are exactly where the best stories belong.
This October, The Ladder brings together the people carrying that legacy and gives you an opportunity to see a play, THE COLLECTOR, by Carl Grose on that same theme.
Join Cornish theatre-makers for a symposium built around one question: what is the next frontier for cornish theatre work? Expect a first look at plans for a dedicated archive space in Bill's Attic, a keynote panel on the roots and future of Cornish theatre, a rapid-fire Pecha Kucha from the scene's leading voices, and an open roundtable on the realities of making site-specific work today.
Coffee, conversation, and a free lunch provided.
