Are you interested in joining professional artist Tracey Miles for a unique and dynamic portraiture art course?

Tracey’s teaching approach is non-prescriptive, supporting students to authentically respond visually to the world around them. With a focus on exploration, you’ll experiment with a range of media and techniques to build confidence in your creative process, discovering your own preferred methods along the way.

The course features a wide variety of live sitters and offering fresh perspectives and a diverse learning experience each session. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, the only prerequisite is an openness to trying new things.

Course Details:

Saturday mornings 10.30am-12.30pm:

• Materials: Some materials and equipment available to try for free throughout the year; bring paper and a pencil to the first session.

• Open to all abilities.

• Pricing per term: £150 for 10 sessions. 

There are 10 sessions per term. 

Classes are taught in two half term terms so there is a break in each block.

Autumn Term:
Group instruction on new dry media each week and quick exercise before the main poses. 

Both these aspects build so everyone can gain knowledge and confidence quickly.

Spring Term:
Teaching expands into wet media. 

Variety of technical approaches are group taught and individual guidance given.

Summer Term:
Covering oil painting and mixed media. 

Students are free to use whatever media they prefer each week as well.
