Chair & Chat: Yoga & Gentle Exercise for over 55s
Chair and chat yoga offers a gentle, accessible way to build strength, improve mobility, and relax without needing to get down on the floor. Sessions take place seated or using a chair for support, making them suitable for all abilities, including those managing limited movement or returning to activity. The pace is unhurried, with clear guidance and a focus on steady breathing, easing tension, and finding comfort in each stretch.

Kitty is a globe-trotting yogini whose practice blends ancient wisdom with modern soul. With roots in Ashtanga Mysore style and branches reaching into Meditation and Ayurvedic Medicine, Kitty’s teaching is both grounded and expansive.

Expect yogic rest and recuperation practices for tired minds and bodies; these practices go to work to undo the knots in the physical and psychic body. This practical, research-informed workshop introduces Peter and Scamp’s methodologies for developing radical performance site-specifically. The session frames site-specific performance as a queer spatial practice, drawing on DIY methodologies to interrogate how environments produce, regulate, and can be reclaimed by marginalised identities.
